4.4.4 Installing the MotoMount Tailstock Adapter
The MotoMount tailstock adapter mounts to the tailstock end of the customer-
supplied tooling fixture (see Figure 4-19).
1. Lift the MotoMount adapter to the end of the tooling fixture and align holes.
2. Assemble the adapter to the tooling with customer-supplied M12, grade 8.8
(or better) bolts and hardened washers. Eight hardened washers are included
with the MotoMount kit for this purpose.
3. Align the adapter shaft with the tooling axis and torque the bolts to 76 N • m
(56 lbf-ft).
4. Slide the bearing onto the adapter shaft and center it. Lightly snug the
bearing gland nut, refering to bearing literature as required.
