3.17 Expansion valve
The thermostatic expansion valve regulates the injection of refrigerant
into the evaporators.
3.17.1 Expansion valve adjustment.
To regulate the expansion valve, operate as follows:
• Connect a pressure gauge to the evaporator output line
• Operate the unit in cold mode
• Measure the temperature near the valve probe

• Turn clockwise to increase the overheating, or anticlockwise to decrease it.
If
overheating in the evaporator is too high, this may be due to low supply of liquid
refrigerant, therefore a low charge of refrigerant.
For the default value, turn 3 turns clockwise from the closed position.
