NOTE:
The sampling rate can only be set to 192 kHz when the format of “Ambisonic Mode“ is “Off”. (→Setting the
sampling rate (Sample Rate))
Ambisonic files are saved as 4-channel polyphonic files, not as mono or stereo files.
A ZOOM mic capsule can only be used when the format of “Ambisonic Mode” is “Off”.
The following parameters cannot be set for tracks using “Ambisonic Mode” input.
“Pan”/”Phase Invert”/”Side Mic Level”/”Input Delay”/”Stereo Link”/”Stereo Link Mode”/”Trim Link”
Files recorded when the format of “Ambisonic Mode” is not “Off” will play back as ambisonic audio
sources rather than ordinary 4-channel polyphonic files. For this reason, these tracks cannot the panned
or muted during playback.
When the sampling rate is set to 44.1–48.048 kHz and “Ambisonic Mode” is not set to “Off”, the F8n Pro
latency will increase 2 ms. When monitoring sounds being recorded with a mic in real-time, increased
latency can cause interference between sound transmitted through the air from the source and the
delayed monitored sound, possibly making accurate monitoring of the sounds difficult. (→Setting the
sampling rate (Sample Rate))
This cannot be used with the “Auto Mix” function. (→Changing the automatic mixing setting (Auto Mix) )
