CHAPTER 20
Remote Management
20.1 Overview
This chapter provides information on the Remote Management screens.
Remote Management allows you to manage your EMG2926-Q10A from a remote location through
the following interfaces:
•LAN and WAN
•LAN only
•WAN only
Note: The EMG2926-Q10A is managed using the Web Configurator.
20.2 What You Can Do in this Chapter
•Use the WWW screen to define the interface/s from which the EMG2926-Q10A can be managed
remotely using the web and specify a secure client that can manage the EMG2926-Q10A (Section
20.4 on page 138).
•Use the Telnet screen to define the interface/s from which the EMG2926-Q10A can be managed
remotely using Telnet service and specify a secure client that can manage the EMG2926-Q10A
(Section 20.5 on page 139).
Your EMG2926-Q10A can act as an SNMP agent, which allows a manager station to manage and
monitor the EMG2926-Q10A through the network. Use the SNMP screen to configure SNMP
settings. You can also specify from which IP addresses the access can come (Section 20.6 on
page 140).
•Use the Wake On LAN screen to enable Wake on LAN and remotely turn on a device on the local
network (Section 20.7 on page 142).
•Use the TR069 screen to configure the EMG2926-Q10A’s TR-069 auto-configuration settings and
import CA certificates to the EMG2926-Q10A (Section 20.8 on page 143).
20.3 What You Need to Know
Remote management over LAN or WAN will not work when:
1 The IP address in the Secured Client IP Address field (Section 20.4 on page 138) does not match
the client IP address. If it does not match, the EMG2926-Q10A will disconnect the session
immediately.
