2.1 In a hurry?: A Brief Explanation of Important
Functions
Please read this chapter in order to familiarise yourself with important telephone
functions. It will only take you a few minutes.
2.1.1 Talking on the Phone: Via the Call Key or the
Handset
OpenPhone 73’s display:
a Call key
b Internal call number
Your telephone has at least one call key via which you can call or may be called. On
the display, this key is labelled with the internal call number under which internal
callers can reach you. The internal call number is allocated to an external call
number under which you may be reached by external callers. Alternatively, the call
key may have a text label. The system administrator may have set this up when the
system was configured.
When you receive a call or call someone yourself, you have the following options
for beginning to talk:
H You pick up the handset.
or:
g You press the call key.
