Removing the axis-1 motor

Make sure that all supplies for electrical power,
hydraulic pressure, and air pressure are turned
off.

CAUTION
For robots with protection type Clean Room
Always cut the paint with a knife and grind the
paint edge when disassembling parts of the robot!
See Cut the paint or surface on the robot before
replacing parts on page 145.

WARNING
When separating the motor from the gearbox,
there may be pressure present in the gearbox,
causing lubricant to spray from the opening. Be-
fore proceeding, please read the safety informa-
tion in the section Gearbox lubricants (oil or
grease) on page 29.

CAUTION
Removing motors will release axes. This means
the axes can fall down.
Make sure axes are well supported before remov-
ing motors.

Access the screws and washers securing the axis-
1 motor from the base bottom.
