Filling oil, axis 1
The procedure below details how to fill the oil in gearbox axis 1.
8. Close the oil drain hose, and put it back inside
the base.
9. Refit the rear cover by securing it with its
attachment screws.

DANGER!
Turn off all electric power, hydraulic and pneumatic
pressure supplies to the robot!
For Foundry Prime robots: Do not turn off the air
pressure to motors and SMB.

WARNING!
Handling gearbox oil involves several safety risks.
Before proceeding, please observe the safety
information in section WARNING - Safety risks during
work with gearbox oil on page 41.
3. Open the oil plug, filling. Shown in the figure Location of
oil plugs on page 182!
4. Refill the gearbox with lubricating oil.
The amount of oil to be refilled depends on the
amount previously being drained. The correct oil level
is detailed in section Inspection, oil level gearbox axis
1 on page 137.
Art. no. and the total amount are
specified in Required equipment
on page 182!
5.
WARNING!
Do not mix the oil types! If wrong oil is refilled, the
gearbox must be rinsed as detailed in section
WARNING - Mixed oils may cause severe damage to
gearbox! on page 42!
6. Refit the oil plug, filling. Tightening torque: 24 Nm.
