Restoring the balancing device
The procedure below details how to restore the balancing device, i.e. removing the press tool.
Locking liquid - Loctite 577
Used to secure the attachment screws
of the rear cover at the end of the
balancing device.
Gasket, end cover 3HAC 17188-1

of the Product manual.

1. Refit the hydraulic cylinder to the press tool, in
case it has been removed.

2. Apply Mercasol 3106 between piston rod and ear. See illustration above.
3. Press with the cylinder and the hydraulic pump
until the fix plate is movable again. Turn the pin
on the fix plate to position "Open".

Do not apply more pressure than
necessary, it could damage bearings
and sealings at the shaft.
4. Unload the cylinder and make sure the moving
pin indicates that the tool has returned to its
starting position.

5. Remove the hydraulic cylinder.
6. Remove the press tool by unscrewing the bolts. Shown in the figure Press tool and
hydraulic cylinder on page 334!
7. Refit the gasket to the rear of the balancing
device.
8. Refit the rear cover to the balancing device with
its attachment screws, using locking liquid.
