Torunatimedtest,performthefollowingsteps:
1. Selecttheappropriatevoltageforthetestbyclickingontheradiobuttonnext
tothedesiredselection.
2. PresstheStartbutton.Thiswillrunthetestattheselectedvoltage.
Asthetestisrunning,allotherbuttonsaregrayedoutandtheStart button
becomes a Stopbutton.
Oncethetesthasstarted,agraphwillbegintoappearandbuildontherightside
oftheControlPanel(seeFigure7-7).Thestatisticaldataforthetimeofthetest,
DAR,PI,resistancevalueandotherinformationwillappearastheyarecompleted
onthelowerleftsideoftheControlPanel.
Thetestwillstopautomaticallyattheendoftheprogrammedruntime.Youmay
alsostopthetestatanytimebypressingtheStopbutton.Whenthetestiscom-
plete,ifthe“CalculateDD”checkboxwasenabled,theModel5060willautomati-
callycalculatedielectricdischargeratio.Thistesttakes60seconds.
NOTE: On small motors and machinery it is possible that the capacitance values
are too low for this test to be completed accurately. In these cases, simply press
the Stop button to stop the dielectric discharge test.
