AEQ Audio Over IP
Routing System

2.9. SYSTEL IP 16 VoIP ON AIR Telephone System.
2.9.1. Front panel description.
SYSTEL IP 16 includes 3 Ethernet connectors (LAN1, LAN2 and WAN) placed on the back
panel of the unit, each one with its respective physical link signalling LEDs. LAN1 and LAN2
ports offer DANTE connectivity and, depending on configuraton, can also be used for control
purposes. WAN port doesn’t allow access to the Dante network.
On front panel, there are indicators related to the unit and communication status. The ones that
are interesting regarding AoIP connection are:
- LAN LEDs: indicate the status of the audio local area network: LAN1 (main interface)
and LAN2 (secondary interface).
Status:
Off: no local network connection.
Blinking green: link is established at data level.
If the unit is wired to a dedicated audio DANTE network using a switch, only LAN1 should be
blinking. If the wiring is connected in "Daisy Chain" mode, (without switch) or there is a
redundant network, both LEDs should be blinking. In the case of this equipment there are 4
different configuration modes: see section 4.8.3.6 of this manual.
IMPORTANT NOTE: When there is a redundant network, primary and secondary interfaces
must be connected to separated networks.
2.10. OLYMPIA 3 commentary unit description.
2.10.1. Back panel description.
OLYMPIA 3 includes 3
Ethernet connectors (a
main port, placed at the
right and printed as
"PoE", and two
secondary ports), placed
on the back panel of the
unit, each one with its
respective physical link signalling LEDs with the following statuses:
Off: no local network connection.
Blinking green: link is established at data level.
Steady yellow: link is established at physical level only.
If the unit is wired to a dedicated audio network using a switch, in main port 1 only, the green
LED should be blinking and the yellow one should be steady on. If the wiring is connected in
"Daisy Chain" mode, (without switch, in that case the main port and one of the two secondary
ports should be used) or there is a redundant network (in that case the main port and the upper
secondary port should be used), the green LEDs of the two selected ports should be blinking
and the yellow ones should be steady on. In the case of this equipment there is a third
configuration option ("USER_VIDEO") that uses the three ports: see section 4.8.3.6 of this
manual.
IMPORTANT NOTE: When there is a redundant network, primary and secondary interfaces
must be connected to separated networks.
