1. INTRODUCTION
1.1. Description of accessory
The VMF-485LINK expansion was developed to interface and make the following units compatible with
the VMF communication protocol:
• HMI (monobloc heat pump)
• BHP (split heat pump)
• FCWI (fancoil inverter for wall installation)
The VMF-485Link accessory allows the communication and it-
eration of the VMF-E5/E6 supervisors with the heat pumps of
the HMI and BHP series and with the fan coils of the FCWI series.
This accessory can also be used with the Multicontrol controller
for the management of HMI and BHP heat pumps.
The accessory, as identified by the general layout, has two dis-
tinct serials:
• MASTER (to terminal M2): this serial connects directly to
the element to be inserted in the VMF network
• SLAVE (to terminal M3): this serial interfaces with the VMF
network where you want to insert the element
The internal logic of the VMF-485Link gateway allows Aermec
or third-party supervisors to control FCWI fan coils such as
VMF-E19 thermostats and to manage HMI/BHP heat pumps
such as the external units of the ANL/ANK/ANKi series.
