Management Port Pinouts
Table 29 specifies the Management port pinout assignments.
Console Port
The Console port uses an RJ-45 connector to provide serial console access for the
7705 SAR-A. The Console port is used to configure router and system parameters. It can also
be used for monitoring purposes. It supports baud rates of 9600, 19 200, 38 400, 57 600, and
115 200. The port also supports 8 data bits, no parity, and 1 stop bit. The Console port
provides connectivity for the RS-232 CLI. Connect the Console port to a terminal using a
shielded RJ-45 CAT5e cable. Shielded cable must be used to maintain EMC compliance.
