USING THE BOILER
DOMESTIC HOT WATER
Theheatingsystemcansupplydomestichotwaterusing
eitherLPGasorelectricity.Youmaytemporarilyincrease
thetemperatureofthehotwaterusingthesamethermo-
staticcontrolpanelthatisusedforspaceheating.
Pleaseseethecontrolinstructionsfordetails.
To make hot water with the boiler:
1. MakesurethattheRV:sfreshwatertankislledup
withfreshwaterorconnectedtomainwatersupply.
2. Filltheboilerwithclean,freshwater.Iftheboilerhas
notbeenusedforsometime,ushitoutwithfresh
waterbyopeninganyhotwatertapintheRVandal-
lowingapproximately3gallonstorunthroughthetap.
3. Closealltapsandstarttheheaterusingthe
ControlPanel.
USING ONLY HOT WATER
Whenonlyhotwaterisrequired(forexampleduringthe
summer),nosettingsneedtobechanged.Theboilerwill
lookafterthisfunctionautomatically.

HOT WATER HAZARD
Hot water at temperatures above 125°F (51ºC) can
cause serious scalding injuries and in extrem cases
even death.
The boiler can deliver hot water at a temperature up
to 185°F (85°C).
– For safe operation, use a mixing valve set at
temperature no higher than 125°F (51°C).
AIR CUSHION
Theboilerisdesignedtohaveanairspace,calledanair
cushion,atthetopofthetank.Thisaircushionisessen-
tialforabsorbingpressuresurgesintheheater,thuspre-
ventingabuild-upofpressurethatcouldcausedamage
topipesandpipejoints.Whentheboilerisincontinuous
use,however,thisaircushiontendstodissipate.
Draining the boiler using the combined safety/drain
valve:
1. Switchoffthefreshwaterpump.ConsultyourRV
owner’smanualtondthelocationofthiscontrol.
2. Openallwatertaps.
3. Openthesafety/drainvalvebyturningthelever
(SeeFigure5).CheckyourRVowner’smanualto
ndthelocationofthesafety/drainvalve.
4. Theboilerwillnowdraindirectlybelowthevehicle
throughthesafety/drainvalvehose.Checkthatall
thewaterisemptiedout(about2-3gallons/7-10
liters).Leavethevalveintheopenpositionuntilthe
nexttimetheheaterisused.

anyotherfreshwatersystemsinthevehicle,please
refertothemanufacturer’sinstructions.
NOTICE
To maintain the air cushion, the hot water tank
should be emptied approximately once a month,
to ensure that a new air cushion is formed in the
heater. Follow the directions below to drain the
water heater.
NOTICE
Check that the automatic check valve
(see Figure 6) is open and is allowing air to en-
ter the heater when it is being drained, and that
the hose is not blocked.

at the tap due to water conditions or the length of
