7.2 CHUNK DATA
NECTA cameras can optionally transmit a set of additional information along with the acquired image,
that can be used for debugging purposes and data analysis: a frame is identied by its serial number and
time stamp; it can also be associated to the encoder position and the input status captured during its
exposure.
Data are user-selectable by software methods. The bandwidth required is very small; however, it might
reduce the maximum usable line rate, slightly affecting the performance in some high-demanding appli-
cations.
Frame chunk data are generated at the rst line-start event of the frame. When both a frame-start and
