Power, Ground, and Wire Chapter 3
Grounding the Controller
There are no special grounding requirements. Terminal A2 must be connected
to the common of a 24V supply.
Connecting a Power Supply
An external 24V DC power supply source must provide power for the GLP
safety relay.
To comply with the CE (European) Low Voltage Directive (LVD), a DC
source compliant with safety extra low voltage (SELV) or protected extra low
voltage (PELV) must power the GLP safety relay.
To comply with the USA NFPA 79, a DC power source compliant with a
protected extra low voltage (PELV) must power the GLP safety relay. That is,
the 0V must be connected to protective earth.
The following Bulletin 1606 power supply catalog numbers are SELV- and
PELV-compliant.
