6. PuTTY Terminal Server
The PuTTY Terminal Server program enables you to change the device’s configuration
parameters.
Even though the program can be used with any Dansensor® MAP Mix Provectus model, it
especially applies to the “Black Box” models, as this is the only way to connect to these
devices.
The program file is on the CD that comes with the devices, and before using it you should
install it from here to the computer from where you wish to connect to the device.
To do so insert the CD in your computer, wait for the Dansensor® MAP Mix Provectus
application to start and then follow the directions.
Preparations
Before starting the program your device must be switched on and connected to your
computer by connecting an
RS232 (D-SUB 9) cable between a free COM-port on your
computer and the “COM 2” connector on the device (see
"Electrical connections" on page 20 for
details).
Configuration and Use
Initial configuration
To start the program simply double-click the PuTTY shortcut icon on your desktop.
The application starts showing the configuration window.
