Front and Rear Hydraulic Brakes
1. Hand Brake Levers and Foot Pedal
Make sure there is no brake uid leakage.
Check operation of the levers. They should move smoothly and there should be
a rm feeling when the brake is applied. If not, have the ATV inspected by an
authorized ARGO dealer.
2. Brake operation
Test the brakes at slow speed after starting out to make sure they are working
properly. If the brakes do not provide proper braking performance, inspect the
brakes for wear.
WARNING
POTENTIAL HAZARD
Riding with improperly operating brakes.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
You could lose braking ability, which could lead to an accident.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
Always check the brakes at the start of every ride. Do not ride the ATV if you nd any
problem with the brakes. If a problem cannot be corrected by the adjustment procedures
provided in this manual, have the ATV inspected by an authorized ARGO dealer.
Fuel
Fill the fuel tank when necessary and make sure there is sucient gasoline in the
tank.
Check for leaks.
Fuel level should be below the ller neck.
Recommended Fuel
87 minimum octane rating
Tank Capacity: 5.5 gal (21 L)
Your ARGO engine has been designed to use regular unleaded gasoline with a
pump octane number of 87 or higher. In many areas, oxygenates (either ethanol
or MTBE) are added to the gasoline. Oxygenated gasolines containing up to 10%
ethanol, 5% methane, or MTBE are acceptable fuel. If knocking or pinging occurs,
use a dierent brand of gasoline or premium unleaded fuel. Unleaded fuel will give
you longer spark plug life and reduced maintenance cost.
Use unleaded fuel only because it produces fewer engine and spark plug deposits
and extends the life of the exhaust system. Never use stale or contaminated
gasoline or an oil/gasoline mixture. Avoid getting dirt, dust or water in the fuel tank.
