Rear Gear Case Oil Inspection
Any lubricant used in place of the recommended lubricant may cause serious damage.
CAUTION
NOTE: The ATV should be parked
on level ground, with the engine key
switch in the “OFF” position.
1. Remove the oil level check bolt /
washer (2).
2. Ensure oil level reaches the oil
level check hole.
3. Install the oil level check bolt /
washer. Tighten to 15 ft lb (20 N-m).

Ensure no foreign material enters the gear case.
CAUTION
Rear Gear Case Oil Change
NOTE: The ATV should be parked
on level ground, with the engine key
switch in the “OFF” position to assure
complete and rapid draining.
1. Remove the skid plate.
2. Place a suitable drain pan under the
oil drain plug.

3. Remove the oil ller cap (1), then
remove the oil level check bolt and
washer (2).
NOTE: Inspect oil ller cap o-ring and
oil level check bolt/washer for any
damage. Replace as necessary.

Inspect the oil for any signs of metal lings or water. If either are present, take your
ATV to an authorized ARGO dealer for service.
