Do not run the starter motor for more than 5 (ve) seconds per starting attempt as
the starter motor may overheat causing severe damage. Allow 10 (ten) seconds
between starting attempts to allow the starter motor to cool. Pay attention not to
discharge the battery.
CAUTION
7. Allow the engine to properly warm up. If the engine has not reached proper
operating temperature, the spark plug may not have reached a high enough
temperature to burn o the excess fuel in the combustion chamber.
Operation
5. Depress the starter button.
NOTE: If the battery voltage is low, engine cannot be started. Properly charge
the battery.
6. Do not depress the throttle lever until the engine has reached operating
temperature.
Braking / Stopping
Always allow plenty of room and time to stop your ATV safely. Be alert and
prepared, as sometimes quick stops are inevitable. Whether you are stopping slowly
or stopping quickly, follow these braking guidelines:
1. Squeeze the brake lever on the both left and right handlebar or apply foot brake
to apply brakes.
2. If your wheels lock, release the brake lever, then apply the brakes again.
3. Avoid prolonged application of the brakes. Even maintaining minimal pressure on
the brake lever will cause the brake pads to drag on the brake rotor and may
cause overheating of the brake uid.
Warming Up Engine
To get maximum engine life, always warm up the engine. Never accelerate hard
with a cold engine! To see whether or not the engine is warm, check if it responds to
the throttle normally.
• Do not operate the throttle (open and close rapidly) as the ATV may move forward
suddenly, causing possible loss of control.
• Do not leave the ATV unattended while the engine is warming up.
CAUTION
WARNING
Prolonged and repetitive use of the ATVs hydraulic brake for high speed stops will
cause overheating of the brake uid and premature brake pad wear which can cause
unexpected loss of braking ability. Note the position of your right foot so it is not
resting or applying pressure to the rear foot brake. Premature brake failure may occur.
WARNING
Use only ARGO approved brake uid. Never substitute or mix dierent types or
grades of brake uid, as unexpected loss of braking ability can result. Check the
ATVs brake uid level and pad wear before each use. The loss of braking ability can
result in severe injury or even death.
