Using low ash point solvents or gasoline to clean the air lter.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
Low ash point solvents or gasoline can catch re or explode increasing the risk of an
accident or injury.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
Use parts cleaning solvent to clean the air lter.
Air Filter Housing Drain
It is recommended to occasionally drain
any uid that has accumulated in your
ATVs air lter housing. Riding through
water may require more frequent
inspection. If deposits can be seen
in the drain tube, the tube must be
cleaned before starting the vehicle.
To clean the drain tube:
1. Remove the drain tube (1) by
removing the clip (3).
2. Drain the deposits.
3. Reinstall the drain tube, securing it
with the clip.

Draining the V-Belt Cover
NOTE: If the ATV has been
driven through water, the V-Belt
cover must be drained of any
liquid.
1. Place the ATV on a at, level
surface.
2. Remove the clamp securing
the drain tube on the cover to
allow liquid to drain out.
3. Position the shift lever to the
neutral “N” position; then start
the engine.
4. Increase and decrease the engine RPM several times to force out any additional
liquid; then stop the engine.
5. Reinstall the drain tube and clamp.
NOTE: The V-belt and pulleys should be inspected every 500 miles and the
belt replaced when necessary.
