A torn air lter can cause damage to your ATVs engine. Dirt or dust may get inside
the engine if the element is torn. Carefully inspect the element for tears before and
after cleaning it. Replace the element with a new one if it is torn or damaged in any
way.
CAUTION
6. Fill an adequately sized wash pan with a non-ammable solvent and wash the
pre-lter and air lter clean of debris.
7. Squeeze the lters by pressing between the palms of both hands to remove
excess solvent. Do not twist or ring-out the lter or you may damage it.
8. Dry the lters.
9. Place the element into a plastic bag, pour air lter oil into the bag and work the
oil into the element.
10. Squeeze the element to remove the excess oil.
11. Clean any dirt or debris from inside the air lter housing. Be sure no dirt enters
the throttle body.
12. Reassemble by reversing the disassembly sequence.
Do not twist the air lter when squeezing it.
