2.3.2 Lid Motherboard
The lid motherboard (Figure 2.6) provides interconnections between plug-in modules (receivers,
transceivers, transponders) in the lid half of the housing and the RF amplifier tray in the base. The
motherboard also accommodates an optional network management plug-in, forward RF
redundancy switch plug-ins, and any one of a range of return path configuration modules. RF
connections between the motherboard and RF amplifier are made through coaxial cables.
