The escapement takes a
single rivet and presents
it in front of the T-Tube
from where it is blown
along the T-Tube to the
Magazine Stand, Tool
or Selector System. The
rivet exit sensor detects
that the rivet has left
the gate and entered
the T-Tube. The gate
position sensors detect
that the gate cylinder is
in the correct position
to feed the rivet along
the T-Tube.
The rivets from the bowl are fed serially down a vertical chute to the gate. The gate is
actuated by a double acting cylinder, the rst rivet in the escapement rests against the edge
of the gate, the cylinder is actuated and the rivet falls in a slot in the gate, the gate is retracted
and the rivet falls into the main blow section where the T-Tube is tted. A clear plastic window
allows in front of the gate allows visual viewing of the gate action and the transfer of rivets.
A micro-switch tted to the escapement cylinder detects it at the retracted position. The
escapement cylinder is actuated by a pneumatic solenoid valve. The clamp post has an
eccentric mounting so can be rotated to adjust the alignment of the escapement and then
slid forwards/back in a slot. The escapement height it adjusted using the knob on the
escapement.
WARNING
The escapement gate moves quickly when actuated and may create a
trapping point. Do not operate the equipment with the escapement
clear cover removed.
