5. 6 System Pre-Startup Check
WARNING
Rivets can travel down the T-Tube at very high speed.
Do not operate the system without the end of the T-Tube being
restrained and with a suitable receptacle in place to catch rivets
travelling at high speed.
Wear safety glasses when operating this equipment with the lid open.
Before start-up, check the following:
 T-Tube is connected to the escapement exit (T-Tube adaptor)
 Electrical connection to the Compact Bulk Rivet Feeder is made in line with the
system schematic
 No rivets in the bowl or linear track
 No rivets in the escapement/gate
 The main blow pressure regulator and bowl blow ow regulators are correctly
set
Load rivets into the Compact Bulk Rivet Feeder once the above checks have been carried out and
the riveting tool has been correctly set up.
Provided the tooling is in a serviceable condition, correctly assembled and congured, the
Compact Bulk Rivet Feeder is normally set up by the correct adjustment of air pressure ow
settings and vibrating bowl.
NOTE
Complete setup of all Compact Bulk Rivet Feeders in the system using
the Controller and operating software.
