4. 13 Main Blow and T-Tube Connection

The regulated main blow airline hose connects to an elbow joint in the escapement assembly.
The T-Tube is inserted into the base section of the escapement and a knurled thumbscrew secures
it in position.
The rivet falls from the escapement into the T-Tube and the main blow pressure is actuated to
convey the rivet at high speed. A inductive sensor at the base of the escapement tube detects
when the rivet has been projected out of the unit.
WARNING
Rivets are projectiles under air pressure.
When servicing the escapement with the T-Tube removed, the exit
track is exposed. The rivets may be blown out of the system creating an
hazardous condition.
Suitable eye protection must be worn during installation and
maintenance.
