call in progress and the parking system must not

Input assistance

voice recognition, a display with a selection of

Voice re cogni t ion system
For the system to understand you:
Speak clear ly and distinctly at a no rma l volume.
Speak louder when driving faster.
Emphas ize the words in the commands evenly
and do not leave long pauses.
Do not speak a command when the voice recogni-
t io n system is making an announcement.
Close the doors, the windows and the sunroof* to
reduce background no ise. Make sure that passen-
gers are not speaking when you are giving a
voice
command.
Only use the system from the dr iver's seat be·
cause the hands free microphone is directed to·
ward that seat.

A WARNING
- Direct your full attention to driving. As the
driver, you have complete responsibility for
safety in traff ic. Only use the functions in
such a way that you always maintain com·
plete contro l
over your veh icle in all traffic
situations.
- Do not use t he voice recognition system in
emergencies because your voice may change
in st ressfu l situat ions.

ab le t o dia l it at all. Dial t he emergency
number manually.

- The d ialog pauses when t he re is a n incom-
ing phone call an d will cont inue if yo u ig·
nore the call. The d ia log ends if you answer
the ca ll.
- Naviga t ion messages * a nd t raffic announce-
ments* are not given d uring a dialog.
- You ca n select an it em in t he list us ing ei-
t her the voice recognit io n system or the
cont rol knob.
