The map is oriented to the north.
Route information
The display of route information such as the cur-
rent road being driven on, upcom ing maneuvers,
traffic informat ion or points of interest along the
route can be switched on/off.
Auto zoom
On: the map scale is adapted automatically de-
pending on the type of road being traveled (ex-
pressway, highway, other roads) so that you al-
ways have an optimal overview of the road ahead.
The sca le is also automatically adapted when
there are upcoming maneuvers to provide a bet-
ter detailed view.
Off: the map scale you have chosen is kept.
Map content
Map content, such as traffic information, favor-
ites o r restaurants, can be displayed or hidden
(~) .
Online map view
Applies to: vehicles with navigation system and Audi connect
With the online map view, you can display the
map with satellite images.

Navigation
Requirement: the requirements for Audi connect
must be met r=> page 123.
" Press t he I NAV/MAPI button repeatedly until
the map is displayed.
" Select: right control button
> Map settings >
Map display > Google Earth.
The map display is based on data packets re-
ceived from the Inte rnet in the form of satellite
images, which are then combined with the road-
ways from the
Standard map view. There are two
gigabytes of memory space in the MMI memory
that can be used to temporarily store the map or
navigation data that was rece ived. This is roughly
the amount required for the map/navigation data
for a 2,500 m ile (4,000 km) route. As long as the
sate llite images loaded for route guidance are
stored, you can use them witho ut having an ac-
tive data connection.
Street View
With Street View, you can explore many places in
the world through the eyes of a pedestrian .
Street View is availab le when the symbol (!)
r=> fig. 125 is displayed in the crosshairs mode.
Activating street view: turn the control knob to a
sca le less than 30 m.
The following functions are then available :
- Exploring an area step-by-step: press the con-
trol knob when the symbol @ is disp layed.
- Zooming in or out on the current view in four
stages:
turn the control knob to the left or to
the right @ .
- Navigating in street view: move your finger on
the MMI touch in the des ired direction .
Additional information
Showing additional information in the Infotain-
ment system display can be sw itched on in the
Map content menu r=> page 143. To display any
applicable additional information, move the
crosshairs onto an item on the map and press the
control knob. .,.
