A WARNING
Spilled hot liquid can increase the risk of acci-
dents and injuries.
- Never drive with containers that conta in hot
liquid such as coffee or tea. The hot liquid
cou ld spill and ca use bu rns d uring a colli-
sion, sudden braking or other vehicle move -
ment. Spilled hot liquid can a lso increase
the risk of accidents and injur ies .
- Only use soft contai ne rs in the cup ho lders.
Hard cups and g lasses can increase the risk
of injury during a collision .
- Never use the cup holder or t he adapter as
an ashtray - this is a fire hazard .

Make su re your beverage contai ner has a lid.
If not, your beverage could sp ill out and cause
damage to the veh icle elect ronic or stain the
seat covers.
Additional storage compartments
You will find a range of storage compartments
and holders at d ifferent locat ions in the vehicle.
- Compartments in the doors
- Storage area in the glove compartment . The
glove compartment can be locked using the
mechanical key

- Storage compartment under the center arm-
rest*
- Storage compartment on the rear side of the
front seat*. The compartment can hold a maxi-
mum weight of 2.2 lbs (1 kg).
- Coat hooks
A WARNING
- No heavy or hard objects may be placed on
the storage compartment behind the rear
seat backrest. There is a risk of inju ring the
veh icle passengers when braking sudde nly .
- Always leave the lid on the glove compa rt-
ment cover closed whil e driv ing to red uce
the risk of inju ry.
- Only use the storage compartments in the
door t rim panels to store sma ll objects, that
will not stick out of t he compartment a nd
impair the ra nge of the side airbags.
- Make sure that the view to the rear is not
impaired by hanging ga rments.
- Hang only lightweight clothing and be sure
that th er e are no heavy or sharp-edged ob-
jects in the po ckets.
- Do not use coat hange rs to hang the cloth-
ing because this could impair t he effec t ive-
ness of the side a ir bags*.
