- Snow and obstructions on the GPS antenna
or interference caused by trees and large
buildings can impair satellite reception and
affect the system's ab ility to determine the
vehicle position . Several deac t ivated or mal-
fun ct ion ing satellites can also inte rrupt GPS
reception and affect the sys t em's ab ility t o
determine the vehi cle posi t ion.
- Because st reet names sometimes change,
the names stored in the MMI may in ra re
cases differ from the act ual street name.
Entering a destination
Free text search for destinations
App lies to: vehicles with navigation system
You can quickly and easily search destinations
using the free text search and transfer them to
route guidance .
Using the MMI touch contro l pad, you can enter
the data for a navigation dest ination in any order
all at once (for example, monument Wash ing-
ton) . Likewise, you can search fo r points of int er-
est, contacts, previous destinations or favor ites
to navigate to t he des ired add ress.
