85-40-45 Assembly of engine after timing chain check
All engine configurations
Remove the TCMT by hand turning and follow the instructions given below:
Place chain tensioner at the depending socket in the engine
(See part 04 in figure below).
Use a new Gasket for the chain tensioner. (Part No. E4-A-75-600-401)
Screw chain tensioner until it is locked and fasten it with a torque wrench. Tightening
torque is 80 Nm (708 inch-lbs). After tightening rotate the engine at the propeller
to check the rotatability.
Engine configuration “–B” or “–C”
Attach the intake air manifold (See item 03 in figure below) at the engine. For detailed
information refer to chapter 85-30-12 of this manual. A new gasket is required.
Attach the expansion tank (See part 02 in figure below) at the engine according to
aircraft maintenance instructions.
Attach the tube (See part 01 in figure below) to the intake air manifold according to
aircraft maintenance instructions.

To finish the timing chain check the coolant must be refilled and the assembly of engine compartment
has to be conducted according to aircraft maintenance instructions.
