5.4.5 Connect to Activation Group (/Create New)
This menu allows you to:
connect a selected point to an existing activation group
create a new activation group for a selected point and, at the
same time, connect this point to the new activation group
When creating a new activation group, the following settings are
determined:
Activate group on Unit State:
meaning which alarm level the points within this activation group
will react to (pre-alarm, alarm, fault and disablement).
Activation Group Dependency:
meaning how many points within this activation group must be in
alarm state before actions are initiated (1-5 and All).
Refer also to chapter 5.12 Activation Groups.
From the Points Menu (5.4.1), perform the following:
After pressing the Function button for the selected point(s), use
the arrow down button to scroll downwards to
Connect to Activation Group (/Create New), then press Enter.
To connect the selected point to a new activation group:
o With the uppermost menu selection highlighted, press Enter
twice.
o Type a name for the new activation group, then press Enter.
o Use the left or right arrow button to select the desired
unit state (Prealarm/Alarm), then press Enter.
o Use the left or right arrow button to determine how many points
within this activation group that must be in alarm state before
actions are initiated (1-5 and All).
o To confirm the setting, press Enter once more.
To move (connect) the selected point to an existing detection
zone:
o Use the arrow down button to select the activation group
that is to be connected to the point, then press Enter.
o To confirm the setting, press Enter once more.
