How to Preinstall Favorite Apps
The facility staff prepares a .zip file containing all the .apk files for the apps they intend to
install on the facility’s CU360 devices. Applications for Android tablets can be installed on
the CU360.
The .apk files (applications to install) can be easily retrieved from many Internet sites, or
using some browser plugins that can download an apk file directly from the Google Play
Store.
All the .apk files must be collected (flat, single root directory) inside a .zip file.
The .zip file can be uploaded to each CU360 through its web interface.
Login into the Codec Unit with a web browser, browse to https://<Codec IP Address>,
default credentials Admin/1234.
[WEB] BASIC SETTINGS> INSTALL YOUR FAVORITE APPS
Press Upload ‘.zip’ file: choose your .zip file and press Upload
Once the upload is completed, you will see the list of the installed apps.
When the guest who used the CU360 leaves the facility (check-out), the staff can
remotely access the specific CU and click on the button “Custom data system
wipe”. See Custom Wipe section for more information.
