Trouble Shooting
Problem Solution
QuickFire® Wrap Head does not walk
up the boom
• See initial startup section (Adjusting Limit Switch)
• Increase pressure as needed (see Adjusting Air
Regulators)
• See initial startup section (Adjusting Wheel Speed)
QuickFire® Wrap Head does not follow
the vehicle
• See initial startup section (Adjusting Flow Control)
• Increase pressure if movement is too slow, decrease
if movement is too fast
• See initial startup section (Adjusting Sizer Limit
Switch)
Wobbling Boom or Shaft
• Check for missing pieces or damaged cleaning
material
• Check Bearings for wear
• Check for bent shaft
Boom not pivoting inward
• Confirm output is set to “AUTO” position
• Verify air feeds are in proper location
• Confirm that air is working properly on both sides of
air cylinder, rebuild or replace if necessary
Brush is turning too slow
• Confirm flow control setting is all the way open
• Confirm hydraulic unit has 1000 – 1100 PSI
• Replace motor on hydraulic unit
Note: The pressure settings stated are for Conveyor speeds of approximately 100 vehicles per
hour. Different pressure settings may be needed to compensate for different Conveyor
speeds.
