7 TROUBLESHOOTING
Theapplianceshouldbeinspectedbyaqualiedprofessionalatleastonceayeartoensureitisoperatingcorrectly,prolongitslifeandmakesure
safety is optimised. This would normally involve:
- removing any rust on the burners
- removing any build-up on the electrode
- cleaning the combustion chamber
- checking that the appliance switches on and off and operates correctly
- checking the fan is operating correctly
- checking the air pressure switch
- checkingtheuegasexhaustandairintakepipes.

FAULT CAUSE SOLUTION
Boiler does not switch on
- No electrical supply - Connect to the mains
- No gas feeding - Turn the gas on
- Air in gas line - Bleed the circuit
No spark but fan operating
- Pressure switch fault - Replace
- Pressure switch tube not connected or cut - Check – replace – insert
- Ignition/amedetectionelectrodebroken - Replace
- Electrode cable cut off - Check–x
- Circuitboarddoesnotdetectame - Check–x
- Main solenoid valve does not open - Check–x
Burner does not come on
- Ignition/amedetectionelectrodebroken - Check – replace
- Electrode cable cut off - Check – replace
- Circuitboarddoesnotdetectame
- Check connector contacts and if necessary
replace the board
- Main solenoid valve does not open - Check and replace if necessary
Burner does not switch off when water shut off
- For LPG models, check the gas supply pres
