5.3.4 Call station
1. Below Device options, click Call station:
– A new screen appears listed the network connected call stations.
– Notice that a Call station is only listed when it is added to the System composition.
2. Select and click the call station name to configure:
3. A new screen appears with the following functionality to configure:
– General
– Functions
– Audio inputs
– Extension (Default not visible, unless you select 1‑4 in the General section)
– Recorded messages
– Alert messages
General
1. Click the +of the General category tab to configure the general settings of the call station.
2. Select each of the following items:
Item Value Description
Class Normal
Emergency
Select Class Normal when the call station is
used for commercial purposes. Functions can
be controlled by the LCD menu item
selection. Availability of Functions for the
operator can be selected in the configuration
web page (see
Assigning a function, page
85
)
When Class is Emergency, the call station act
as a real emergency call station. The call
station LCD is static, which means that only
emergency (fault) indications are listed on
the LCD where no menu item and/or Function
can be selected in the configuration web
page.
IMPORTANT: At an emergency the internal
call station loudspeaker will generate a tone
which could be stopped by using a button/
control input with the Acknowledgement and/
or reset function.
Extensions Selection (0‑4) Select the number of call stations extensions
(maximum 4) connected to the selected call
station. Deviation in hardware will trigger a
fault.
IMPORTANT: Assigning zones to a standalone
call station is not possible. You need at least
one call station extension connected and
selected.
Expected PoE inputs Selection (0‑2) Select the call station network connections
of the selected call station using Power over
Ethernet. Deviation in hardware will trigger a
fault.
