Connecting the Printer
9. If you chose
Static
in step 6, configure the following settings.
a.
Tap
IP Address
to display a keypad and then type the IP address of the printer. Tap the enter
button when finished.
b.
Tap
Subnet Mask
and enter a subnet mask if you are using one.
c. Tap Default Gateway to enter the default gateway.
10. Tap to return to the Home screen.
Configuring Other Networks
Configuration for personal or enterprise networks.
1. Touch the Menu button at the top of the Home screen.
2. Tap Settings. .
3. On the Settings screen, select Connection.
4. Tap Wi-Fi Network on the Connection screen.
• If Wi-Fi is disabled, check the box next to Enabled and wait for the Network list to populate.
5. Scroll to the bottom of the list of available networks and select Other.
6. On the Other Networks screen, choose Personal or Enterprise network and fill in the
necessary details.
7. Tap when finished.
Configuring a Direct USB Connection
To communicate directly with a USB cable, you will need the USB device driver installed on your PC.
Once connected, the computer should automatically detect and install the USB driver, if it is not
already installed.
1. Attach the USB cable to the printer and computer.
2. Turn the printer on.
On the computer, “Found New Hardware” pops up in the lower right corner of the screen and
the print driver wizard is launched.
3. In the wizard
, click Install the software automatically (if it is not already selected).
4.
Click Next.
The print driver installs. This takes a minute or two.
5. When complete, in the wizard,
click Finish.
