Troubleshooting
Poor print quality. Ribbon and labels are incompatible,
or using an incorrect label material
and ribbon combination.
• Verify the correct ribbon for
the label roll is loaded in the
printer.
• Change the ribbon or label
combination.
Dust or adhesives accumulated on
the print head.
Clean the print head (see
Cleaning the Print Head” on
page 34).
Supply wiper dirty. Replace supply wiper (see
Replacing the Supply Wiper” on
page 35).
Void areas or lines appear on
printed text.
Ribbon wrinkling.
• Tension the ribbon by rotating
the rewind spool (top spool) in
a downward direction until all
slack is removed.
• Try another ribbon cartridge.
Cut quality is poor. Cutter needs cleaning. Clean the cutter (see Cleaning
the Cutter Blade” on page 30).
Supply shifts when printing
frames around label causing a
slight misalignment of the
frame.
Supply guides not adjusted correctly,
producing slack that allows the labels
to shift during printing.
Adjust supply guides so they are
snug against the labels. To make
fine adjustments to the frame,
(see Print Energy” on page 20.)
