6-1-5. Tension adjustment for platen and deceleration belts
Prepare a sonic belt tension tester [Gates Unitta parts no.:U-507].

Disassembly
(1) Remove covers upon reference to "6-1-3. Disassembly / Assembly of platen".
(2) Measure tension applied to platen belt and confirm value is as specified.
<CAUTION>
 Pick on left belt with finger while platen arm is retracted to rearmost position.
<TIPS>
 Be sure to measure belt tension after moving platen arm several times to allow belt to settle.
(3) Loosen the two hole bolts and adjust the tension applied to the deceleration belt using the belt tension adjustment
hole bolt if necessary.
<TIPS>
 Tension increases by rotating belt tension adjustment hole bolt clockwise.
Tension decreases by rotating belt tension adjustment hole bolt counterclockwise.
