1.4.25 Move of the Head/Carriage Unit to the Center (Maintenance mode 75)
<Function>
This function is used to remove paper particles and dust accumulated between the
maintenance unit and Head/carriage unit. Using this function moves the Head/carriage unit
to the center of its travel, allowing you to easily remove the paper particles and dust
accumulated.
<Operating Procedure>
(1) Enter [7] and [5] in the initial stage of the maintenance mode.
The machine displays "PLS OPEN COVER" on the LCD.
The Head/carriage unit moves to the center of its travel.
(2) Open the document scanner unit.
The machine displays "PLS CLOSE COVER" on the LCD.
(3) Remove the paper particles and dust accumulated.
(4) Close the document scanner unit.
The Head/carriage unit returns to the home position, then the machine returns to the
initial stage of the maintenance mode.
Tip In standby state, holding down [Stop] or [X] continuously for at least five seconds
with the document scanner unit open can also move the Head/carriage unit in the
same manner as above.
