4 Design and Function
4.1 Overview
For general drawing 62329-LAY“, please see section drawings in the
documentation file
Basically, the line consits of the following components:
Mass preparation unit
Equalizing roller EGW 180-100 (2 pieces)
Cutting unit
Please ask for Bepex separate information
The cereals which are to be processed can be conveyed into the hop-
per.
The already prepared Binder is filled into the electrical heated (max.
85°C) vessel. The viscosity of the binder must be less than
7000mpas.
The cereals are transported via the vibration unit into the contimix.
The pump is dosing the Binder into the contimix.
Cerals and Binder are gently mixed and transported to the first con-
veyor.
The transport belt conveys the mass slab to the equalizing rollers
where the mass slab height is calibrated.
The mass slab is conveyed on the transport belt. This belt can be
extended with a cooling tunnel if necessary. Inside the cooling tunnel,
the mass is cooled down to the temperature required for cutting.

The cutting machine cuts the strands crosswise to the belt moving
direction into the required product width. The length of the product can
be influenced by the width of the equalizing rollers (between 50-
115mm).
