2.7.2 Description of the installed safety installations
Main switch with emergency
stop function

Main switches (1) are installed at the exterior of the control cabinets
(conveyor belt, cutting machine, tempering devices) and feature addi-
tionally an emergency stop function.
By turning the main switch to position [0 OFF] the machine is separat-
ed from electricity and immediately stops. Emergency stop is actuat-
ed.
Danger to life from uncontrolled restarting!
Uncontrolled restarting the machine can cause severe or even
deadly injuries.
Before restarting, make sure that the reason for the emergency
stop has been cleared and all safety devices are installed and
functioning.
Do not turn the main switch to position “I” before any dangers are
eliminated.

By actuating the emergency stop button, the machine is stopped by
immediately switching off the power feed or by mechanic separation
from the drives. A LED lamp flashes when the emergency stop button
was pressed. After an emergency stop button has been actuated, it
must be released by turning in order to be able to switch on again.
Accidental restarting of the machine can lead to serious injury
or death.
Before restarting, make sure that the cause for the emergency
stop has been eliminated and that all safety equipment is mount-
ed and fully functional.
Only release the emergency stop button when no further hazard
is present.
