7.4.4 Adjusting the scrapers at the EGW
The scraper prevents product from sticking to the roll. The distance
between roll and scraper depends on the mass characteristics and is
to be determined in trials.
Adjust scraper
The scraper can be fitted either in front of or behind the
roller.
1.
Loosen the screws (1).
2.
Adjust the distance between scraper (2) and roller (3).
With Teflon-coated equalizing rollers, never adjust the
scraper too closely to the roller because this damages
the surface.
3.
Tighten the screws (1).
