7.4.6 Adjusting the knife height at the SZ
Adjusting knife height in case of product change or for readjust-
ment
1.
Change to the operating mode “Change of knife”.
 The knife moves to lowest position.
2.
Switch the machine off and secure against restarting.
3.
Lift up protective cover.

4. Loosen clamp screw (1) at the nut (2).
5. Loosen hexagon screw (3).
6. Adjust the height of the knife by turning the knurled nut (2) (down)
or the hexagon screw (3) (up).
NOTICE
Damages to property during contact of the knives with the
conveyor or the counter cutting ledge!
In case of incorrect adjustment the belts and the counter cutting
ledge can be damaged.
 The distance between knife and belt resp. counter cutting ledge
should amount approx. 0.1 mm [0.004 "]. (Check with a paper
the correct setting)
As appliance for the adjustment of the distance a strip of
paper can be put on the belt or the coutner cutting ledge.
This should be to be still pulled out with slight resistance.
7. Firmly tighten the clamp screw (1) at the knurled nut (2).
8. Firmly tighten the hexagon screw (3).
9. Close protective cover.
