18.5. Electromagnetic Conformance (EMC)
The Butterfly iQ/ iQ+/ iQ3 is intended to enable diagnostic ultrasound imaging and measurement of anatomical
structures and fluids by qualified and trained healthcare professionals. Electromagnetic fields, however, can cause
distortion or degradation of this information, affecting this performance.
The Butterfly iQ/ iQ+/ iQ3 has been designed for use within electromagnetic environments specified in Table 19,
“Electromagnetic Emissions” [95] and Table 20, “Electromagnetic Immunity” [96]. To avoid radiated and conducted
electromagnetic disturbances, the customer or the user of the Butterfly iQ/ iQ+/ iQ3 should assure that it is used
within these stated specifications.

The Butterfly iQ/ iQ+/ iQ3 Ultrasound System uses RF energy only for its internal function. Therefore, its RF emissions are very low and are not
likely to cause any interference in nearby electronic equipment.
