150 4-5 Driving Auxiliary Functions
Decreasing target speed / setting vehicle speed
Turn the shift lever to set the current vehicle speed as the target vehicle
speed when ACC enters the active state from the standby state. If the
current vehicle speed is less than 30km/h or 20mph, 30km/h or 20mph is
set as the target vehicle speed; if the current vehicle speed is greater than
150km/h or 95mph, 150km/h or 95mph is set as the target vehicle speed.
With ACC activated, pull the lever to set the speed in the range of
30~150 km/h (20-95mph). Each time the lever is pulled upward or
downward, the target speed can be increased/decreased by 5. In the same
ignition cycle, when the cruise control is in standby state, the system can
memorize the last set speed.
Deactivating ACC
Depress the brake pedal to allow ACC to be deactivated and enter the standby
state. Press button again to exit ACC function.
Setting headway
You are responsible for selecting a safe headway.
This system can adjust your vehicle speed to be such that your vehicle
maintains a proper distance from a vehicle ahead in the same lane. You
can press the buttons and on the steering wheel to adjust the
headway among four levels. In every level, the headway is proportional to
the speed of the vehicle. Faster speed results in greater headway.
Actively accelerating/decelerating with ACC activated
With ACC activated, you may actively depress the accelerator pedal to
reach the set target speed in advance. At this moment, the system enters
the overtaking acceleration state. If the current speed is the target speed
and you still actively depress the accelerator pedal to accelerate and no
other operation is performed after acceleration, the vehicle will slow down
to the speed set before the acceleration; if you depress the accelerator
pedal and meanwhile pull the lever downward, the current speed can be
set as the target cruise speed. If the vehicle speed is higher than 150 km/h
or the accelerator pedal is depressed continuously for more than 15 min,
the system will enter the standby state, and you need to reactivate the
ACC.
With the ACC activated, depress the brake pedal to decelerate the vehicle
continuously. The ACC system will automatically enter the standby state.
After releasing the brake pedal, you need to reactivate the ACC.
Vehicle following to stop/start
The ACC system can control the vehicle to follow a vehicle ahead to stop in
normal driving condition. If the vehicle stops for less than 3s, the vehicle
can follow a vehicle ahead to start.
