6-3 DIY Maintenance 231

Service and Maintenance
During vehicle washing, do not directly wash wiper blades with a water
cannon, so as to prevent damage to wiper blades due to excessively high
water pressure.
Maintenance rules
Clean the windshield and wiper blades at regular intervals (once a week or
once every two weeks is recommended).
It is recommended to wipe the windshield with wiper blades (once a day or
once every two days). Be sure to keep the windshield sufficiently wet when
wiping the windshield with wiper blades (in case of no rainfall, the washing
fluid must be sprayed on the windshield in advance).
Use a special windshield cleaning agent to clean the windshield.
Wipe any mud or dead body of insect on the windshield with a piece of
wiping cloth in time.
Maintain the windshield in time if any gravel hitting scars are found on it
(repair resin or similar product for windshield is suggested, and the
windshield should be replaced if there are too many or large scars).
Replace wiper blades at regular intervals (once half a year is
recommended).
Wiper arms must be lifted up before cleaning the windshield. The specific
operating method is as follows:
1. Turn on the front wiper maintenance on thevehicle healthmaintenance
interface of the multimedia system to allow the wiper to rotate out.
2. Hold the upper end of wiper arm to lift up the wiper arm and wiper blade
assembly with care.
Tire
For the purpose of safe driving, the model and size of tires must fit your
vehicle model and the tires must have good tread patterns and standard
tire pressure.
The following pages provide details on how to check tire pressure, damage
to and wear of tires, and the operating method for tire rotation.
