18 1-1 Seat Belt
4. Adjust the seat belt height adjuster
(front seats) to a proper position to
obtain the maximum comfort and
protection.
① Press the seat belt height adjuster
release button.
② Hold the seat belt height adjuster and
move it up/down to adjust the front
seat belt to a proper height. Release
the front seat belt height adjuster.
5. After adjustment, pull the shoulder belt with some force to check if the seat
belt adjuster locks up.
■ The shoulder belt should cross the center of the shoulder. The seat belt
should be far from the neck and not liable to fall from the shoulder.
Otherwise, in case of emergency brake or accident, the seat belt cannot
protect passengers and even cause severe injury to passengers.
■ The lap belt should cross the hip as low as possible to prevent tightening
strap from injuring occupants during accidents.
■ The seat belt should be close to an occupant's body to better achieve its
protection function.
6. Unfastening seat belt
■ Press the red release button on the
buckle; the tongue will be released
and the seat belt strap will be
retracted automatically.
■ If any seat belt cannot smoothly
retract automatically, pull it out and
check for twist.
