[A.SL SHUTTER]: The camcorder automatically uses slow shutter speeds
to
obtain
brighter recordings
in
places with insufficient lighting.
The camcorder uses shutter speeds down
to
1/30 (1/15 in
lfiME8I~.J
mode).
If a trailing afterimage appears, set the slow shutter
to
[mil
OFF].
If
A (camcorder shake warning) appears,
we
recommend stabilizing the camcorder, for
example, by mounting it on a tripod.
[REVIEW]: Selects the time
to
display a still image after it has been recorded.

is set
to

or

If you press
IDISP! while reviewing a still image it will continue
to
be displayed
indefinitely. Press [Start/StopI
to
return
to
the normal display.
[IMG STAB]: The image stabilizer compensates for camcorder shake even at full
telephoto.
The
image stabilizer is designed
to
compensate for a normal degree
of
camcorder
shake.
The image stabilizer may not be effective when recording
in
dark places with
[A.SL SHUTTER] set
to
[om
ON] or using the
[~
NIGHT] recording program.
The image stabilizer cannot be turned
off
when the
mode
switch is set
to
1B1.
We
recommend setting the image stabilizer
to
[mil OFF] when using a tripod.
(WIDESCREEN]: The camcorder uses the full width
of
the image sensor providing high-
resolution 16:9 recordings.
Since the screens on the camcorder have
an
aspect ratio of 16:9, recordings with a 4:3
aspect ratio will appear
in
the center
of
the screen with black sidebars.
