3.21 ATTACHMENTS AND ACCESSORIES
To connect or disconnect an attachment, set the gear
shift lever in neutral and engage the parking brake. Use
a slow gear for any movement of the tractor.
Hitch bar: This component of the tractor can not have
the same function as a hitch fork and hence can not
bear any vertical load.
Do not overload attachments or towed equipment. Use
suitable counterweights to keep tractor steady. The
three-point hitch and side-mounted attachments form
a much wider trajectory in a bend compared to towed
equipment. Make sure you have enough space to turn.
Only use approved accessories and attachments.
Using a safety chain will help keeping control on the
towed equipment in case it accidentally detaches from
the drawbar during transport. Using suitable adapters,
connect the chain to tractor drawbar support or to other
specic xing points. Leave chain just enough clearance
to allow to follow in a bend. Contact your dealer for the
supply of a suitable chain having a nominal resistance
equal to or higher than the gross weight of the towed
machine.
When connecting or disconnecting an attachment,
make sure nobody is standing between the tractor and
the attachment.
