D) Use the turn indicator when turning. Ensure to take
turn indicator switch (3) back to central position
after turning.
E) Disengage 4-wheel drive using button (4) so as
not to excessively wear out the front tyres on hard
surface.
F) not engaged.
G) Drive at moderate speed to keep full control of
the machine. Slow down to tackle slopes, bumpy
surface and bends, especially if transporting heavy
equipment and installed at the rear.
H) Before going downhill, engage a lower gear to
keep speed under control without using brakes. Do
not drive downhill in neutral.
I) When driving downhill and surface is covered with
ice or gravel, pay attention to any skidding that could
decrease steering control. To reduce likeliness of
skidding, slow down and ensure tractor is suitably
ballasted.
J) Use utmost care when towing loads on bumpy
surfaces and when braking or turning on slopes.
Ensure track is wide enough to ensure perfect
stability.
5.23 DRIVING ON SLOPES
Solely operate with the roll over protection structure
(ROPS) in vertical or extended position, whenever
possible.
Avoid pressions, ditches and obstacles that could make
tractor tip over, especially on slopes. Avoid hairpin
bends uphill.
Do not drive vehicle close to the edge of canals or
steep embankments since they could collapse.
Driving forward to get out of a canal or muddy ground,
or uphill on a steep slope, could make tractor tip back.
Handle these situations in reverse, if possible.
Front-wheel drive considerably increases tractor's
traction but does not enhance stability. With front-wheel
drive engaged, the tractor can overcome steep slopes,
but does not become steadier. When using this method,
you shall be more careful on slopes. Compared to two-
wheel drive, front-wheel drive keeps better grip on
steeper slopes, yet increasing the likeliness of tipping
over.
Risk of tipping over considerably increases at high
speed, when track is set to narrow.
Tow loads only by means of the drawbar. If using a
chain, slowly compensate for its slack.
